About The Artist



Desiree Onwudiachi is a 24-year-old Artist and Designer born in Washington DC and raised in Laurel, Maryland. Desiree is of Nigerian decent and grew up with her 4 sisters and loving Mom, Art has always come natural to Desiree as she began creating art at the Age of 9. She remembers Drawing on the walls of her house as a child, and doing self-portraits of friends in grade school. Growing up as a Nigerian Child has always been awesome for her but she struggled with expressing to her parents her passion for Art. Going to Art School with the support of her family was not an option. However, she continued paintings and creating art all through grade school. 

                  After studying at Morgan State University and earning a Degree in Hospitality Management. Desiree Decided to take her business skills and apply them to her dreams of an art Career.

 

                  Desiree’s edgy and unique work demonstrates a mixture of Art, African American, and Pop Culture. As an artist, Desiree works with mixed media on canvas along with graphic design.  Her Inspiration is creating Art for the Youth in hopes that they will learn to invest and appreciate art as they do for material things that trend in our generation. Desiree wants to develop young art Collectors hopes that they will feel something " make buying art cool".

 

                  Desiree is evolving and making her way into the Art World. Living in the DMV she is always up for networking and participating in local Art events. She has been featured in Raw Artist, Art All Night DC, and recently was featured in Cloud 9 Vodka's Art event as a Visual Artist. 

 

                  Desiree's creative talents and business ventures have her headed in the right direction. With dreams of having galleries all around the world she believes that anything is possible with God on her side.
